Have you ever just needed a day to get away and have fun? Well this past weekend a few friends and I packed a light bag and headed to New Orleans.

If you are unfamiliar with the Megabus let me introduce you to it. The Mega bus is like the Greyhound and Redcoach, but if you purchase your ticket far in advance you can pay as little as $1 to head to Mobile, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Orlando and other surrounding cities. For those who travel further such as Texas and other states you would have to find bus routes that connect you throughout your journey.

For us we ended up paying $42 dollars round trip. The bus picked us up at 12:55 am and we arrived in New Orleans at 6:22 am. Once we got off the bus we freshened up and began our journey through the bayou!
